Farriers are talented professionals who provide an invaluable tool to keeping your horse going strong. The veterinarians at GBE realize that without these experts, our patients would be in big trouble. Though skilled, no Farrier has "X-ray Vision" and our digital radiographs are very helpful in guiding decisions about how to trim and shoe your horse. Digital radiology allows us to measure and evaluate important shoeing principles such as:

• Proper "Break Over" point
• Horn - Lamellar Zone for evidence of chronic or recent laminitis (founder)
• Medial to lateral and cranial to caudal hoof balance
• Ideal palmar angle of the coffin bone
• Coffin bone to pastern angle
